This collection is deeply personal to us. My wife and I adopted a beagle named Amory through the Beagle Freedom Project, and her story is the reason these sauces exist.
Amory’s name means brave or powerful. After everything she survived, we knew it was more than just a name. It was who she was.
On the day Amory and the other beagles were rescued, many of them had never seen grass before. That moment was heartbreaking. These dogs had spent their lives in laboratories, and suddenly they were stepping into the world for the first time.
When Amory came home, she was terrified of almost everything. The squeak of a door could scare her. Ice dropping from the ice maker would send her into panic. Even motion on the television screen — with the sound turned off — was enough to frighten her.
She got a little better each day, but healing was never a straight line. Sometimes after a nap, she seemed to wake up scared all over again, as if she had gone back to the laboratory in her dreams. Living with Amory changed us. It showed us how deep trauma can go — and how powerful patience, love, and safety can be.
That is why this is not just another hot sauce category. This is our way of honoring Amory and helping more people learn about dogs like her.
Each style of sauce in this collection features a picture of a real Beagle Freedom Project rescue and that dog’s individual story on the side of the bottle.
